Fall in Love with Your Floors

How to Clean up After Valentine's Day and Pancake Day?

February may be a short month, but it's packed with holidays that can be tough on your floors. Whether it's Valentine's Day and the accompanying chocolate and wine spills, or Pancake Day and the inevitable pancake batter mishaps, your floors may be feeling the love (and the mess). But don't worry we have some tips and tricks to help you clean up and fall in love with your floors all over again.

Cosy up with your carpet

Let's start with Valentine's Day. While the day of love may have been a success in terms of romance, your floors may be showing signs of wear and tear. Spills from wine, chocolate, or other treats can leave stains on carpets or hardwood floors. The key to cleaning these spills is to act quickly, in those affected areas with a clean cloth and applying a stain remover if needed. For stubborn stains, it's best to seek professional cleaning help to prevent any permanent damage.

However, there are flooring solutions to make your life easier for future events and parties such as, easy clean carpets from Cormar Carpets.

These types of carpets are stain resistant, pet and family friendly! They are perfect for all areas in your home and can save you a lot of trouble and time.

Moving on to Pancake Day, this beloved holiday can also be a messy one. Batter spills and splatters are bound to happen, but with the right technique, you can avoid damaging your floors. If you have hardwood floors, be sure to wipe up any batter spills quickly with a clean cloth to avoid any moisture damage. For carpets, you can use a mixture of water and mild detergent to remove any stains. As with Valentine's Day spills, it's important to act quickly to prevent any lasting damage.

Again, you can prevent damage in the initial flooring choice, by opting for types of materials such as Luxury Vinyl tiles. This style of flooring appears atheistically identical to classic designs seen in wood or stone however eliminates the effort of cleaning.

You can create the same impact within hallways and kitchen spaces without the hassle with flooring like Victorian Star Canterbury or something more neutral such as Lithen from Amtico.
